My name is Jacob Drueckhammer. I'm a wildlife photographer drawn to moments that unfold slowly—scenes shaped by patience, presence, and time spent in the field.
All of the animals in my images are wild. I do not bait wildlife, and I don't add or remove elements from my photographs. My work is rooted in observing natural behavior as it happens, and my editing process is intentionally minimal, focused on cropping, light, and color to reflect what was truly there.
Photography became more than a hobby for me once I realized how much of it depended on waiting. The longer I spent outside, the more I understood that the most meaningful images aren't forced - they're earned. Days without results are part of the process, and they've shaped how I see and photograph the natural world.
I'm especially interested in the balance between scale and intimacy: wide landscapes that show how vast these ecosystems are, and quieter moments that reveal individuality, family, and continuity within them. Those moments are what keep me returning to the field.
I share this work in the hope that it encourages a deeper respect for wildlife and the environments they depend on.
We only have one world, and these animals won't remain forever without care, attention, and action.
